My website was recently hacked, and turned into a beast shilling Windows virus protection rackets. It's the third time a Wordpress site I've run has been hacked, and I'm done with Wordpress. No more.
I took a look around at static CMS systems. Jekyll and GitPages seemed like a great option -- files hosted on GitHub, static pages, well supported. But I'm getting too old to figure out all that configuration stuff. On the other hand, sites with the easy pretty like Squarespace seem too restrictive and same-same.
I stumbled upon this open source project called Publii. I gave it a go. It's generated this site. Which seems okay. For now. I can't get the search function to work.
